Cupid Pursuing Psyche is a sculpture by John Gibson (1790-1866) created in 1843 in the Neoclassicism style. The white marble relief is 62.5 x 93 cm (24.6 x 36.6 in) and is based on the story of Cupid and Psyche from Apuleius. While the relief doesn't depict a specific episode from the story, it's an abstraction on the theme of love and its struggle for the human soul.
